Church History

Pacific View Baptist Church started at a private residence in 1955 with a
group of Christians that wanted to see a church started in Solana Beach.
After establishing a church, they finally were able to secure this property
here on Santa Fe Drive in nearby Encinitas. The Lord has led the church in
many building programs, the first being the current fellowship hall which
began construction on March 17, 1957. The Sanctuary started construction
in 1962 and was completed in 1963. The Preschool building and office
complex was completed in 1992.

The church presently has been blessed with plenty of room for expansion
and growth. The facilities also host other ministry groups like; Young Life
Teen Ministry, Teen CBS, Santa Fe Christian Preschool Ministry, and Iglesia
Bautista Pacific View (Spanish Mission).

Pacific View has been blessed to celebrate over 50 years of ministry. It
looks forward to ministering and reaching the community for another 50
years.Of course Pacific View has never been alone in its mission work and
Christian education. As an independent congregation we also are part of the
San Diego Southern Baptist Association, the California Southern Baptist
Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. Together with many other
ministries we have been blessed to minister here in the North County of San Diego.
